We had to cancel this show in lieu of our support slot with Jonny Lang this past Sunday but it's a great mini review on the Hoodoo! New Diggens General Store is one of the best juke joints we've played- great times. We've moved our show to Aug. 22nd, 2010. Thanks Lou!

What a great weekend we had! The MAMA Awards were this past weekend, which honor the top bands from the Madison area. It's a great function and it was our first time being apart of this great event. We can't wait for next year! Not only were we honored to play at this event it was truly special to play in front of our idols and peers from the Madison area. Thanks Beth Kille and Jimmy Vogeli for jamming with us! We were also up for a few awards as well...drum roll please!
We were simply blown away at the awards we took home that night! With the biggest honor being Artist of the Year. This was a HUGE surprise and an even bigger honor for all of us. We are proud to say this is the first time a blues band has ever won this award and that is very special to us. The blues is our home and it is what we all love so dearly. We also took home, Blues Artist of the Year, Blues Album of the Year, Blues Song of the Year AND Eric "Shunk" Shackelford took home, Drummer of the Year!
We are so grateful to all our fans for the support you give us, these awards ARE because of you and we plan on thanking each and everyone of you for the support you give us. Thank you so much!

Tax day has come and gone and the pain is a memory...we hope! We did our taxes and we logged in over 18,000 miles on the Silver Fox last year and we loved every minute of it...well, maybe not the part when we got stuck in the mud.
We had a great time supporting Galactic on the road, it was a lot of fun and the whole crew was good to us. A special thanks to the Majestic Theater in our hometown of Madison, WI for hooking us up!
Aaron headed up to the Wisconsin Area Music Awards on Monday, April 12th. We were nominated for Best Blues Band of the Year. We didn't end up taking the top prize home but our good friend from Milwaukee, WI Reverend Raven took home the prize (now maybe he'll pay us that $50 he owes us!) It was a great time meeting a lot of industry professionals and the best Wisconsin musicians. Look out for some possible collaborations in the future!
As always we hope to see you out at a show...until then.......

It's good to be a Hoodoo lova:) This past week we found out we've been nominated for Best Blues Band by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry. It's a huge honor and we are honored to be nominated along with many of our close friends in the blues world. In fact we've done shows with each and everyone of them. The WI blues scene is a close knit group and we're all pulling for each other....I think! The winner will be announced on April 12th, 2010 at an awards show in Appleton, WI. We can't wait to walk the red carpet!
In other exciting news, we'll be heading down south this coming weekend. Five shows in five days..load up the silver fox and hit the road. We'll be having a send off party at the Brink Lounge in Madison , WI on Wednesday, March 10th. Then we'll be hitting Salem, IL, Maryville, TN, Atlanta, GA and end it with Memphis, TN. We'll be playing the famous blues joint Darwin's in Atlanta, GA and Huey's in Memphis. It's gonna be a blast, we'll send pictures from the road.
We also got some very exciting news that we'll announce shorty. It has to do with our debut album "It Ain't Easy." Check back soon!

What a great winter we've been having up in the Madison area. In one snow storm we got 18" inches of snow followed by a deep freeze. To all our northern friends you know what that means...off roading condition everywhere. Which is why we try and head as far South as we can each winter. However, the winter of 2009 we spent working on our debut album "It Ain't Easy," we were able to spend most the winter recording and not loading gear this wonderful winterland!
Our tour to the Kentucky area was met with great fun, 60's is what we Sconnies need in times like this. While it was snowing and sleeting in Madison we were able to enjoying seeing some old friends and made some new ones. We love it down in Kentucky and we can't wait to get back there.
This winter also found us performing on a TV show called "The Urban Theater" it was great fun and we got some great footage of AWATH doing some old favorites, one new song that will be released on our next studio CD and a great cover. Check it out on youtube to find out what it is:)
We have a lot more fun planned for this winter. We've decide to take a few weekends off in Feb. to enjoy with our families re group and write some new songs. We are tentatively scheduling recording time for Jan. 11' for our next CD and we can't wait!
Be safe my friends...

Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo would like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays. We had a great year in 2009 and we had some major loss in the Hoodoo family as well. Some highlights include traveling from Madison, WI to Daytona Beach, FL in one day and we made our show! We had the honor of playing for Harley Davidson at 2009 Bike Week in Feb. and had a blast doing it. The Hoodoo also signed on to be managed by SJK PR that very same trip. It's been a complete pleasure working with Shirley over the past year and we look forward to many more exciting ventures with SJK PR.
2009 also saw the release of our debut full length album, "It Ain't Easy" in April. The CD was met with rave reviews and they are still coming in! Check out the press page if you're interested. Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo did what was to be Cadillac Joe's (Aaron's fathers) last show at the World's Largest Brat Fest during Memorial Day weekend in Madison, WI. The crowd swelled to several thousands as the Hoodoo and Cadillac Joe ripped through a number of the Hoodoo's and Cadillac Joe's tunes. Sadly on July 29th, 2009 Cadillac Joe passed away due to complications of an infection due to his weaken system from battling cancer for the past three years. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Aaron Williams will be hosting an annual charity event in his fathers name, this year it will be at the High Noon Saloon in Madison, WI on December 26th, 2009. All proceeds will be donated to cancer research in Cadillac Joe's name.
The Hoodoo's first national tour took them to the Cutting Edge Music Conference in New Orleans, LA and they were the talk of the town. They ripped through a blistering set at the famous Blue Nile Club in the French Quarter. Fielding numerous endorsements from their performance, Aaron is happy to be using Republic Resonator Guitars, Fulltone Pedals and Riejunio Apparel. The tour also took them through Atlanta, St. Louis, Indianapolis and many more Midwestern and Southern states. The Hoodoo even graced the ol boob tube several times, including their first nation TV broadcast on WGN in late October.
The fall and winter brought the Hoodoo again to Atlanta where they played another blistering set of Hoodoo originals and got the crowd shakin'. It was a nice break getting away from the cold and snow of their hometown of Madison, WI. Look for many new exciting news coming in 2010....with two big announcements coming next month in January! We can't tell you now but you'll love it!
We'd like to thank all our friends(fans) for a great year. We wouldn't/couldn't do this without your support. We will always promise to give it our all each and every show. We play our music for you......
